Coreldraw 10 under Macintosh OSX

With this message I just want to tel you people at Corel that you've just
lost another Dedicated Corel user to Adobe.

I've been irritated by you continuously ignoring Macintosh users long
enough. I just installed OS Panther and my coreldraw is not working anymore
at all! You are quite like Quark, just too fond of yourself! Is it too much
to ask you to just deliver a good working product? I've paid a lot of money
for my Corel Draw 10 and there's only been one update, after which it still
didn't work properly.

Corel 10 for Mac was just a Beta version, and has still got lots of bugs,
making it not worth its price. You should be offering free updates to 11 for
CD10 users (If CD11 works anyway).

Goodbye, I'm leaving the sinking ship.

Did you post your Mac questions for help under the Corel Mac specific
NG's?

I'm not sure V10 was intended/designed for the Mac O/S you are using.
I've heard of many moans about the latest O/S's and compatability
problems with the latest O/S offerings.

I'll state now, I've no Mac experience and base the above on heresay.

Hearsay, or heresy? ;)

Likewise I have next to no OS X experience, but many Macromedia
FreeHand users are also reporting problems after upgrading to
"Panther" -- and that's with the latest "MXa" version of that
particular application. Until OS X's printing, font-management, &c.
become a little more consistent and stable, developers will be faced
with a 'moving goalposts' situation, with the result that users have
to keep very current with application versions and patches as various
incompatibilities get worked out.

There aren't mac CD forums anymore.

CD 10 on the Mac has many problems and almost non of them are adressed
in CD 11. Panther will cause problems on a lot of applications because
it made a lot of changes in the Finder. I doubt Corel will make any
updates to CD 11 for Panther as They will probably do it in CD 12 and
hope you buy that.

I don't think Corel is just ignoring Mac users. I don't think they have
enough money or the focus to keep up with CD on the Mac. They have
always been market focused; They sell new features and many CD users
live for the next release. CD 10 for Mac had a small team on a small
budget and CD 11 on the Mac didn't even have beta testers.

I would be surprised if this changes, but one can hope. They got a lot
of good mac review with CD 10 and 11 but It didn't get them many buyers.
I reality, PhotoPaint, Trace, and the fonts are a good buy for non Pro
Mac users. But Draw is almost too buggy for any Mac user. Mac users have
very high exspectations about applications.

I agree about the free upgrade; But CD 11 didn't fix the big problems.

The company lacks money...Maybe that's why it doesn't want to improve
its products in Mac.
Draw 12 won't ship a Mac version, too.
