You can set "always overprint black" when exporting to EPS.
Unfortunatly I was not able to find this flag when publishing to PDF.

Since I have to supply PDF files to newspapers and magazines for
advertising, I need a way to force black overprint when publishing to PDF.
At the moment I have to check carefully every black object in my work to be
sure overprint is selected!!

(by the way, introducing such a feature would mean no more than 2 hours of
work for a Corel programmer...can't understand why this feature has never
been intruduced..!?)

Can't. That flag is avilable only when printing in color separations (to a
PS printer or PS file) but not selectable when publishing to PDF!
Nevertheless it would be quite usefull, since I have tho check alla black
writings overprint settings before publishing to PDF at the moment....

(note overprint settings in CDR are correctly inherited by generated PDF
file)

I don't think you have to do it, because any professional application has
overprint black funtion in their print engine.
